JOB DESCRIPTION

Conduct in-process patrol and dimensional inspections on CNC and VMC machined components using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, dial gauges, thread plug/ring gauges).

Read and interpret 2D mechanical engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, surface finish callouts, and dimensional tolerance limits.

Perform setup approvals, First Article Inspections (FAI), and sample parameter checks across OD, ID, length, threads, slots, chamfers, and tapers.

Identify surface finish flaws, tool marks, burrs, cracks, and dimensional non-conformances; immediately notify operators, halt non-conforming runs, and segregate defective materials in designated hold areas.

Prepare comprehensive setup reports, in-process inspection logs, rejection reports, and maintain 5S standards along with proper instrument calibration and storage.
