Manage procurement activities for raw steel materials (HR/CR sheet plates, structural sections, pipes, hardware) and fabrication consumables for the manufacturing unit.
Float RFQs to approved vendors, compare commercial quotations, negotiate pricing terms, and finalize purchase orders to optimize material costs.
Evaluate Bill of Materials (BOM) from the design and production departments to ensure accurate quantity estimations and timely material availability.
Build and expand vendor networks, evaluate supplier performance metrics (quality, pricing, lead time), and resolve material rejection or variance issues.
Coordinate with store and quality inspection teams upon delivery to verify material test certificates (MTC), invoice details, and track vendor payment schedules.
