Supervise day-to-day fettling shop-floor operations, risering/gating knock-off, grinding, and surface cleaning of Shell Moulding, SG Iron, and Cast Iron (CI) components.
Ensure proper surface finishing, flash removal, and dimensional verification of fettled castings using standard precision measuring instruments.
Coordinate with foundry production and quality assurance teams to meet daily dispatch targets and maintain strict surface quality standards.
Manage fettling shop workforce, enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety rules during grinding, cutting, and shot blasting activities.
Maintain daily output logs, rework reports, and monitor grinding tool/consumable usage to optimize operational efficiency.
