Conduct daily metallurgical laboratory testing on molten metal and solid casting samples using Optical Emission Spectrometers to verify chemical composition (C, Si, Mn, Mg, S, P).
Perform metallographic specimen preparation, etching, and microscopic examination to evaluate grain size, nodularity percentage, graphite type, and pearlite/ferrite ratio for SG and CI castings.
Execute hardness testing (BHN/HRC) and tensile/impact testing to ensure physical properties align with customer specifications and international foundry standards.
Manage routine calibration schedules for all laboratory testing equipment, chemical reagents, and precision measuring instruments.
Maintain complete daily metallurgical test certificates (MTC), lab test registers, and support MSA/SPC core tool studies during audit validations.
